The one thing I've been enjoying about this extra time in lockdown is the amount of freedom I've had to take care of myself. Some weeks were NOT good and I could barely take a minute to brush my hair, but other times were amazing and I would do a full mani-pedi routine with no interruptions. Some of my newer routine additions include hand sanitizers, hand soaps and hand lotions, one of which I'll touch on in this post. Overall, I've loved this opportunity to discover new things and not feel rushed to throw on my beauty products and race out the door each morning.
Since I am now heading into the office daily, I'm trying to maintain that slower beauty routine since it really is an important part of my day. Here are a few favourites I've been using as of late.
Perspirex is a roll-on antiperspirant that promises no need for reapplication over the course of 3-5 days. I reviewed their Perspirex Plus version here, and just started using the Perspirex Comfort ($18). You essentially roll it on to clean, unbroken skin in the evening and rinse off in the morning. You then don't need to reapply until 2-3 days after, for this comfort version. The short of it is, it works. I unfortunately still react to this in extreme itching, so I've passed it on to my mom. The little compact container is so handy and would be amazing for travel. I'm sticking with my Dry Idea and Nivea favs for now.

Bubble T's refreshing Moroccan Mint Tea hand wash is a bathroom essential. Packed with the uplifting scents of spearmint and peppermint, this hand wash is soothing on the skin, cruelty free, paraben and SLS free. Simple, effective and cute!
COLAB Invisible Dry Shampoo (Original) 200mL $10
My go-to at the drugstore, this dry shampoo has good oil absorption without white residue. It is on par with Klorane for me (shop here) and there is over 2x as much in this bottle! I love to use this invisible version over my entire head, and then shoot a bit of their EXTREME formula at my crown/upper scalp to add great volume and grit. It really helps keep my french braids in place, with no flyaways.
I Love Signature Scents Vanilla Milk Body Mist 150mL $10
Hello, summery vanilla scent! I'm game. This pure and indulgent scent of vanilla, enhanced by a swirl of creamy milk and hints of bergamot is really beautiful. I've been enjoying a bit of body mist through the ends of my hair for some light scent that isn't directly on my skin. This is also nice to spritz on towels or very lightly on your masks if you want a little hint of yummy fragrance. Throughout the day.
7th Heaven Silver Easy Peel-Off Mask $3
I haven't tried this yet, so will report back when I do!
