HAUL! H&M, Mango, The Bay

I've only ever shopped H&M online once before, and the items arrived half OK half very bad. Luckily, their online garment photos have improved a lot, which means there is less of a surprise once the items show up on your doorstep. H&M also gives you 25% off one item on your first order, which is a great promo to take advantage of if you're interested in trying their "Premium" collection like I was. Keep on reading (and watching!) to see the items I picked up on my last shopping trip across the web.

H&M Canada

Textured-weave Jacket $69.99 shop!

I fell in love with this Chanel-esque jacket the moment I laid eyes on it. I picked up the red one in size 0P (only size left, seems to be all sold out now) and the white in size 0 reg. The fit is fabulous, the quality is OK (one of the buttons broke on my red one, so I have to glue it together... whomp) and I'm excited to style these for both casual and dressy occasions throughout the year. Keep up with my Instagram Stories here to see my looks of the day!

Mock Turtleneck Top $14.99 shop!

I'm trying to wear more cute, stylish crop tops and this one fit the bill. I got it in size XXS (all that was in stock) and in black, and I'm happy with the fit and feel overall.

Long earrings $9.99 shop!

Obsessed with these dainty statement earrings. They're the best rosey gold colour, and the metal does not irritate my ears at all. Highly recommend.

Tie-detail T-shirt $14.99 shop!

So cute, the H&M standard tees are very comfy and they fit great. I got this in the gray melange colour and size XS to wear with high-waist denim this summer.

Slacks $39.99 shop!

I fell in love with these slacks the moment I laid eyes on them. From the H&M suiting collection, these soft dress pants fit well and have a matching suit jacket if you want high-impact plaid. I have the colour gray/plaid and size 2.

Cashmere cardigan $129.00 shop!

Um, what a price on this one, eh?? I really love cozy cashmere, especially to layer with in the winter. This grey simple cardigan really caught my eye, especially since it can be worn as a top buttoned up (luuuv the v-neck!) it's in the colour gray melange and size XS. Overall I'm happy with the quality, although the edge is a little "rough" - you can see it in the video. P.S. Allana shared how her favourite sweater is a crew-neck grey cashmere pullover from H&M's premium collection, so I'm clearly not alone with my positive feelings here.

NOT KEEPING

I was ready to pay $5.99 to return any items that I didn't want since you cannot return online purchases in-store, but was thrilled to find out that H&M is running a promo so that your recent orders come with FREE RETURNS! Yippie! Also note that the items sold online are usually not yet available in-store. I went out looking for the cropped tie t-shirt in other colours, and no one has seen the item yet. The whole experience really is hit-or-miss, so keep that in mind.

Pima Cotton T-shirt $29.99 shop!

This tee was really thick and soft as noted, but it simply did not fit. Too big, too boxy, too long. I bought colour white in size XS.

Wool Suit Pants $129.00 shop!

Ugh, what a disappointment! They don't model these pants on a human being online... probably for a reason. The fit is totally fine, except for the very top. The high-waist style does not taper in at the top as it should, so they balloon out a lot. Not flattering, and would require tailoring. Esp for the price, these are going back. I bought colour dusky green size 2.

Ankle-length Pants $19.99 shop!

I really wanted to like these cheaper high-waist plaid pants, but the fit was off as well. They only had petite available and they were too short on me. The pleats at the front also got too baggy on me, so they're returned. Colour black/white checked in size 2P.

MANGO

I adore shopping at Mango, since their shipping is extremely fast and I find their clothing to be comparable to Zara, but 10x better quality and a stitch more chic.

Playsuit American $141.11 shop!

I had to grab this stunning sequined jumpsuit for my upcoming trip to Vegas. I'll be seeing Celine Dion, so what better outfit for her show?! I got size XXS since Mango often runs a bit big.

Circus by Sam Edelman Tabitha Buckle Pumps $76 shop!

I love this shoe style, and the nude colour is a great warm beige with a patent front and matte back strap. I'm really impressed with the fit and padded sole, especially given the low price! I bought size 7.5.

Circus by Sam Edelman Textured Ankle-Strap Sandals $60 shop!

I really wanted to love these sandals, but the synthetic material is too plastic-y on the toe area. Forever 21 shoes feel better, so these will go back. I got size 7.5 in shade BLUSH GOLD.

Lord & Taylor Scalloped Suede Pumps $90 shop!

This is such a fab shoe, and the shade blue is a lot darker in person! The suede finish is nice, but these are very synthetic as well. I need a smaller size so I'll head in-store and try to return them. I bought size 7.5 and probably need a 7.

Aquatalia Wande Calf Leather Platform Sandals $82.95 shop Aquatalia!

I definitely thought I struck gold when I saw these aquatalia shoes, since they're always so expensive. Sadly, the straps are too wide for my narrow foot, even though they're a size 7. I'm going to bring these back.

What have you bought lately?
