Fab Fit Fun Starter Box Review | Canadian Subscriber

Fabfitfun Starter Box

As someone who goes completely nuts for gift with purchases (and trying new products in general) I’ve swooned over sample boxes ever since the early Birchbox days in 2010. Once TopBox started in Canada, I tried a few rounds of boxes, one of which featured here.

When my friend Alanna from Classy on the Run invited me to try the FabFitFun Starter Box for only $8 USD (CAN Shipping) I jumped at the opportunity. My only taste of FabFitFun was last year when my friend Sara passed on her adorable “Meet Me at the Barre” gym bag, which I featured in my “What I Keep in my Gym Bag” post.

My trial kit came in an adorable pink box, which I actually turned inside out and reused as the packaging for a Shoebox Project donation box over Christmas. You could use the box for extra makeup, storing off-season shoes, or organizing your wallets and small handbags.

Fabfitfun Canada Review

The 4 full-size items I received in my box are all completely useful and worthwhile for me. I think the standout has to be the Free People x Understated Leather eye mask. The gel insert can be kept in the fridge, and it easily pops into the leather mask cover for a soothing (& reusable!) eye-de-puffing treatment.

Spongelle Honey Blossom Shower Sponge
This adorable flower-shaped sponge creates a scented lather, all on its own! With built-in body wash this product will cleanse, exfoliate, massage, and hydrate the skin for a spa-like pampering experience. I’m waiting to use this on my next long-ish vacation, since it lasts for at least 14 showers - then you simply toss it away!

Ahava Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream
This is an American brand that I’ve heard about for years, and was super excited to try. Not only is this the biggest hand cream I’ve ever owned, but it also absorbs quickly, hydrates well and the smell is amazing.

Summer and Rose Brittany Tote
Guys, I love this beach bag!! It’s my ideal travel tote, with a zip at the top (yaaaas security!) and convenient pockets inside. I adore the rope handles, and chic stripe pattern. The bag itself is very lightweight, and the lining is a cheaper synthetic material. Overall it is a great item for the price I paid, and given that the gym bag was a step above in quality, I expect the full-size boxes to be even more impressive in value.

Is fab fit fun worth it
