PIXI Body and Skincare Review | Glycolic Peel, Milky Mist, Rose Balm and More!

PIXI Body Care

Body care is a very important part of my skincare routine. For the most part, I take my facial skincare down my neck, onto my chest and onto my back. I find that some body lotions can be too thick and heavy for my combination skin, and my back and chest have a tendency to breakout really easily. I’ve shared my love of Pixi makeup nonstop over the years, and the praise doesn’t stop there. Let’s talk about my favourite Pixi skincare items for face and the rest of the body!

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist

I first tried the milky mist when my friend Alanna gifted it to us in her bachelorette gift bags in Disney World. This mist is ideal for all skin types because it is balancing, calming and replenishing without being heavy. It’s great to put under make up to give your skin a little boost and to reduce flaky patches. I also use this on my chest and back to gently moisturize without needing to put on a layer of lotion. A staple, especially in colder months!

Pixi FortifEYE Under Eye Patches

I am not a morning person so anything refreshing for the eye area is a welcomed addition to my routine. Gel patches for under the eyes are very popular, but it’s hard to come across ones that are in recyclable packaging, that don’t cost a fortune and that actually do something. These ones from Pixi are formulated with caffeine and plumping hyaluronic acid. They’ll make a big difference especially when kept cool in a skincare fridge. I recommend putting a pair of these on before a big presentation, you will feel extra fresh!

Pixi Rose Balm

As I get older, a good rose scent seems to be more and more up my alley. Surprisingly, lavender is no longer a perfume I tolerate so this rose balm has been great as a morning moisturizer that also preps well for makeup. It’s thick but it isn’t pore clogging. It softens my skin but doesn’t leave any slippery residue since it’s oil-free. Really beautiful formula especially for winter, that truly feels like a designer moisturizer.

Pixi PHenomenal Gel

Hello, drink of water for your skin! This hyaluronic acid-based moisturizer is great for summer time. It’s calming, refreshing and balances out my combo skin effortlessly. The tube packaging is nice and hygienic but just make sure you don’t squeeze out too much since a little goes a long way. This is a product you will apply before daily sunscreen.

Pixi Glycolic Body Peel

This gently exfoliating physical scrub has a sandy texture and a less-than-appealing vibe overall. It has an orange colour and mild scent, but it really does work wonders on the chest and back. I mentioned how I can get breakouts on the sensitive skin in these areas so I’ll often put my body peel on while I’m in the bath let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse it off with a sponge. This is like a spa treatment that you want to do 1-2 times a week, I love the results!

Pixi Glycolic Moisturizer

The perfect follow-up to your treatment peel, this lightweight moisturizer has little to no scent and a “down to business” texture. Lightweight, fast-absorbing and effective results byway of smoothing the skin and reducing breakouts/ingrowns. I think it would work well as an aftershave since it never leaves my skin feeling greasy or heavy. I love the generous to packaging of pixie body products, you get great bang for your buck and the tubes are super hygienic.

Have you ever tried Pixi skincare? I’d recommend it! Since Shoppers Drug Mart sells the brand, keep an eye out for bonus points.
