FRESH Rose Toner vs. The Body Shop British Rose Toner

FRESH Rose Toner

When I'm tired, toner is a step that I may skip out on during my nighttime routine. That being said, I definitely don't want to discount the value and truly wonderful results that a toner can bring into your life, which these two pretty bottles can provide. The FRESH Rose Toner ($45 US) is a very popular product, which works well to balance my combination skin. When I saw The Body Shop British Rose Petal-Soft Gel Toner ($18 CAD) this summer, I knew I had to try it out to see if they compare.

The Body Shop British Rose Toner

First of all, let's talk about the textures. FRESH Rose Toner is a thin liquid, with full rose petals suspended in the formula. It reminds me of traditional rose water, but very potent and "amped up" with hyaluronic acid.  The Body Shop British Rose Petal-Soft Gel Toner is more of a gel consistency, and infused with aloe vera.

I find my results to be very similar with these two rose toners. If anything, The Body Shop one seems to have more of that plumping effect due to the unique texture - it doesn't soak into the cotton round as quickly. The FRESH one has more Rose ingredients (highlighted below) and I do think that you'll see more of a brightening effect with it overtime. FRESH makes good skincare, but I don't think this one is necessarily worth the price. In addition, The Body Shop one is on sale for $10. 50 right now - great deal!
