Happy National Lipstick Day!
Last week my friend Alanna and I went to BITE Beauty's Toronto Lip Lab on Queen St. West to try out their Bespoke Lip Service. This was honestly one of the most fabulous experiences of my life, given that we were pampered with treats and wine while being given complete creative liberty to create two completely custom lipsticks of our choosing. Read on to see (and watch) our experience!
These are all of the gorgeous goodies I came home with after our Bespoke Lip Service:
- Two custom lipsticks (choice of matte, glossy or satin finish)
- A trio of lip conditioning products (Cherry Scrub, Agave Mask, Clear makeup correcting stick)
- Samples and lip liners that I bought on clearance for $5 ea
You can either choose from the "A La Carte" service starting at $55 for one shade, and you can choose from the BITE predetermined shades then add your custom fragrance, texture and name. You can also do two shades from the "A La Carte" for $80, or move up to the most fabulous of them all: "Bespoke". For $150 per person, this experience is truly unforgettable. This is a gift any gal or guy would adore, especially on Mother's Day, for a bride or for a bachelorette party!

Olive and Daniel were our lip artists at the Toronto location of BITE's Lip Lab, and they were both spectacular. They each have extensive makeup backgrounds and have worked with many companies, ultimately landing with BITE - since this homegrown Toronto-based brand is a true leader in lip products. As part of my Bespoke Lip Service, I made two outstanding shades:
- Aurélie, a muted coral with a sheer finish with a coconut scent - ideal for summer
- Fab Flush, the perfect cool-toned matte rosey pink with a violet scent - ideal for fall and winter

Alanna (from Classy on the Run!) had the awesome tip of bringing your favourite lipstick, gloss, or liner in with you to replicate a similar shade - this is the perfect solution if your ride-or-die lipstick has been discontinued. I need this service for eyeliner and mascara too, my faves never seem to stick around! I brought some inspirational photos with me to show Daniel and Olive what shades and textures I like:

Everything from the lipstick wrapping paper to the friendly staff and pretty décor at BITE's lip lab made this experience one I'll never forget. They have an event space upstairs too that can hold up to 30 guests! Hi, bridal shower! You best believe I'll be back again someday.
