Review: REVLON Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish

REVLON Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish

I love a good multi-tasker, and the REVLON Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish truly does everything-in-one for my lips. Marketed as a liquid lipstick, this formula delivers a high-pigment, high-shine lacquer finish. The non-feathering formula is applied with a very soft doe-foot applicator and it definitely doesn’t settle into lip lines or creases. These vivid shades are super diverse and pack a great punch.

Shades: Date Night (960) – ultra shiny light brown, Birthday Suit (925) – ultra shiny mauve nude, Rule The World (975) – ultra shiny hot pink.

What I think:

I don't like applying this lip product on full-force. I find that the glossy finish can get sticky especially when you wear a thick layer, and it can migrate inward getting stuck on my teeth. I prefer applying one dot in the centre of my lips, then blending out to a sheer finish - as seen below with the hot pink.

Alternatively, I sometimes apply a thick, even layer then blot off any excess which leaves the full pigment colour but less gloss - as with the nude above.

I find that this lip polish wears off evenly and beautifully with no feathering and a lasting moisturizing finish. I've always adored Revlon lip gloss, two of which I reviewed here and here, because they have great colour payoff and never irritate my lips. these are a fabulous option if you want a quick, impactful, vibrant lip colour that won't dry you out and can be worn in many ways.
