One of a Kind Show 2019 | Mother's Day Gift Ideas

One of a kind toronto

Spring has sprung at the One of a Kind Show in Toronto! Here are a few items I picked up at the show this week, most of which I'll be using for some birthday gifts, Mother's Day gifts and mama-to-be gifts.

ooak 19

If you want a great Mother's Day gift, OOAK19 is the place to be. You can gather up a few inexpensive items to create a gorgeous, unforgettable and super useful basket. Each of these items are around $5-$20 and come quite customizable.

The first item that caught my eye is Mitchell's Mexican Soup. This tube of dry ingredients makes 8 servings and only requires hot water added in. I tried a sample at the show, it was outstanding. No salt needed, and packed with nutrition.

Heritage Bee Co. is another wonderful company to support. This local Ontario wildflower honey is delicious and comes in a variety of sizes, flavours and textures.

Uppdoo is one of my favourite bag companies for their unique designs and eco-conscious manufacturing practices. I can't wait to use my cute blue change purse, it's great for stashing your keys so that they don't get lost in your bag, or scratch electronics.

Another must-buy is the Incredible Spread'Em plant-based Garlic Spread. I buy a container at each OOAK show, and enjoy using it in pasta sauce and on bagels. It lasts for a year in the fridge and is vegan-friendly.

Catmamola is a really fun ceramics designer who I've followed on Instagram ever since she started posting 2 years ago. I bought a necklace from her for my sister Lauren when she was part of the "rising stars" section a few shows ago, and can't wait to continue growing our collection with her fun ceramic baubles.

I'm looking at all the moms when I say that the best gift sometimes is TIME. ALONE. I'm not a mom but I do take my self-care very seriously, which is why a few hours of relaxation with some Blazing Bath Bombs is a fabulous gift idea.

studio 50 vessel

Finally, the Studio50 Rock Bottom Vessel. At under $100 these decanters are made for keeping drinks hot or cold. You can throw the concrete base into the freezer to keep your rosé chilled, or heat it in the oven to warm your mulled wine or cider. A stunning piece for daily use, check out Studio50's Instagram for tutorials on filling the vessel with fruit, and re-tying the leather wrap after washing.

Happy shopping y'all!
