Big Spring Clothing Haul | Gap, H&M, UNIQLO

Spring 2018 Trends

So it's not Spring yet. And I was trying to stick to a "no-buy" for the first part of this year. But sometimes, one pair of jeans leads to another, and my Spring 2018 wardrobe has come together!

See my top picks from Gap, H&M and Uniqlo below:

GAP Canada

Ponte bell sleeve shift dress

Some of my favourite workwear dresses over the years have come from Gap, and they're still pumping out some top-notch styles.
Buy: Pointe Bell Sleeve Shift Dress $44 (Softspun version is in stock)

Cozy textured blanket scarf

I adore this scarf. It appears exactly how it's described: cozy, textured, blanket. I found that it was super fluffy before washing once, but that cured all lint problems.
Buy: Cozy textured blanket scarf $36.99

Softspun knit tank

There's nothing like a good basic muscle tank, and this black softspun version is a delight to wear. Thick, breathable, non-transparent and a pretty weight that doesn't collect fluff.
Buy: Softspun knit tank true black $23.39 (available: Softspun V-Neck Tank Bodysuitscoop neck tank)

Striped Boyfriend Shirt

I have a thing for stripes. This shirt is awesome, it has a unique dark ribbon detail down the buttons. It was on clearance in-store, but you can find a similar one here.

Stripe Elbow Shirt

These modal, pima cotton, spandex tees are outstanding. I love both shades of blue and red, so I picked up both. I bought them for around $20, you can find two colours available in limited sizing here: Stripe elbow sleeve modern boatneck tee. I also have this modern elbow tee bookmarked for later.

These jeans are the reason I looked at the Gap site to begin with. My colleague Sara was wearing them and I always asked where she got them. The Slim Straight Jeans are super snug, durable, stretch jeans that cut at all the right points. I'd recommend moving up one size, or sticking to your regular size and really working them in.
Buy: High Rise Slim Straight Jeans with Distressed Detail $66.99

I can't get enough of these gap sports bras, and bralettes. Comfy, cute and super affordable.
Buy: Breathe low impact strappy sports bra $20
Buy: Supersoft lace bralette $15

UNIQLO

Uniqlo striped dress

I have a mix of UNIQLO and Gap in the above collage, so I'll link all 4 items below. The UNIQLO dress and skirt pleasantly surprised me. Lovely textures and beautiful tailoring on items that could be relatively shapeless. The gap pants, both PJ and jogger, are thin and comfy - ideal for at home. I wish the joggers were more robust so I could wear them out. Nevertheless, I really enjoy the tight ankles and soft modal fabric so I kept them.
Buy: UNIQLO Cotton Striped Boat Neck Long Sleeve Dress (~$60 CAD), Circular Skirt (~$40 CAD)
Buy: Gap Sleep Jogger $25, Pure Body Modal Jogger $40

H&M Spring 2018

I noticed this shirt while walking down Queen St. and had to stop in to try it on. I love the colour, texture and fit of this top. It fits a bit big, so you can stay true to size (I got a 2).
Buy: Seersucker top $19.99

It's hard to find blazers that feel good, look good, and don't break the bank. This one from H&M is incredible quality, it's so soft and fits like a dream.

I also found an amazing pair of jeans at H&M. They fit similar to the slim straight from Gap above, but these are a bit more comfy. they have a button fly and such a fun mom-jean vibe without being baggy and unflattering. I have to try pairing these with heels one day.
Buy: Slim Regular Jeans $79.99

Cotton Linen Shirt

This cotton shirt is so cool, I found it on the sale rack for $20 so keep an eye out in store. The fabric is luxe and all the details tick every box: thick, durable fabric, pretty buttons, elaborate detailing in the right spots (cuff, side seams, front bib area). You can find slightly similar shirts herehere (both are plain) and here for maternity.

Wrapover Floral Blouse

This blouse is a great find for spring. The gauzy fabric and adjustable wrap waist makes it flattering and comfortable. I'm obsessed with the floral print, and the flexibility of wearing a bralette underneath if you want the layering look.
Buy: Wrapover Blouse $29.99

There are a lot of items online that aren't yet available in store. I've saved them in a Pinterest board which you can see here, or embedded below -

Watch my haul here for more details:

Have you been shopping at any of these stores lately? Which trends are you excited to try for spring?
