I remember stumbling upon Farleyco much like Nail Polish Canada when trying to track down Real Techniques brushes, CoLAB dry shampoo and EcoTools in Canadian Dollars. Fast forward a few years, and I have been lucky enough to receive one of their 2017 Beauty Boxes to try out, and I'm thrilled with the selection of goodies that were included.
The So...? Sexy perfume is $4.99 and can be found at Walmart. The scent is woody, sweet, and sour with notes of orange, rose, sandalwood, raspberry and pear. The lasting power isn't very strong, though I do find the complexity of this perfume to be worth the low price tag.
This year EcoTools is 10 years old! Their Polishing Facial Cloths ($10.99) are made of organic cotton muslin and will gently remove dirt, oil and makeup. They're really large and have such a lovely thin texture that dries very fast. The added hook makes them perfect for in the shower, so I love using mine to rinse my face in the morning or remove my oil makeup remover in the evening.
The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush $12.99 is my favourite foundation brush ever. Soft, high quality and densely packed bristles make for a flawless application of any cream product. I now have two of these brushes as I always make sure that there's one at my vanity, and another in my travel bag since it is lightweight and washes up well.
Johnny's Chop Shop Wild Cat Hair Clay ($12.99) is a "strong hold, matte finish styling clay that delivers a dishevelled and structured look with some serious muscle". Joseph likes the thin texture and very mild fragrance of this hair product. Though the hold isn't as intense as his favourite Mon Platin Black Caviar Hair Wax, it is easier to distribute through damp hair. This Hair Clay can be found online, or at London Drugs.
The 7th Heaven Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masks are $4.99 and available at Rexall Pharma Plus. "Made with nourishing Argan and Macadamia oils and antioxidant rich Pomegranate, these little wonders will help revitalise and condition your nails". I haven't tested out these masks just yet, since I'll probably pass them on to my mom who truly deserves a nail treatment. Will report back!
I love the Farleyco Beauty Box service and I can't wait to see how it rolls out into the market this year. For a retail total of $47 (before tax), a seasonal subscription cost of $15-$25 would be very reasonable.
