Spring Fashion Haul

After doing some shopping in the US and Toronto, I've rounded up a few of my favourite fashion and beauty finds for the warmer weather. Some items are currently on sale, and others are brand-new and stocked in stores.

My favourite beauty find has to be this wonderful Holika Holika Eyeliner. I gave up on the hunt for a burgundy eyeliner a few months ago, since the only one I found (from Make Up For Ever) made my eyes look red and tired. I stumbled across the new Holika Holika store on Queen St. West in Toronto last week and couldn't have been happier. The store is an absolute dream for the avid makeup collector, looking exactly like a candy shop. I left with the perfect eyeliner, swatched on the right. It makes my green eyes pop, and it doesn't move around throughout the day. Love it.

The first of my fashion items are these Forever 21 Pants, featured in my recent spring trends post. I was amazed at the quality and fit of these pants. The material is so comfortable and the top band is very stretchy. They have a high-waist and fit me perfectly. I can't wait to rock these all spring and summer long.

I picked up another pair of printed bottoms from Forever 21, these ones being some comfy floral shorts. I can't find these exact ones pictured above, but there are some similar ones linked here, and here.

I found a super cute Forever 21 Bikini Top last week, which cost only $5.80. If you love bright colours and don't require lots of bust support, head on over to their bathing suit section before they sell out. They have both tops and bottoms in a ton of bright, fun colours.

When browsing through Macy's, I spotted this beautifully embellished sweater from I.N.C. International Concepts on the clearance rack. Unfortunately, the rhinestones are positioned in a way that they pull threads on the arms when you move around. The little snags aren't very visible, so they don't bother me. I'm hoping to use this sweater as a reference for a future embellishment DIY using similar large beads and rhinestones.

H&M has some really cute new arrivals, and that's where I found this heather beige cropped sweater/tee. I can't find it online, but it's part of the Divided collection, in stores now. I'm really looking forward to pairing it with this fancy silky scarf I found when thrifting, which you can see in the picture above.

I fell in love with these wine coloured Steve Madden Neovista Booties when I first spotted them back in January. Lucky for me, I managed to get them on sale using my PoachIt account on my computer. I was alerted via email when they went on sale, and I was also able to use my Ebates account. You can learn more about this cash-back service in this post. I've been wearing these little booties all the time, after having them for just a few weeks.

While visiting Georgetown in Washington, D.C., I managed to find some gorgeous Silver pointy-toe pumps at Banana Republic, on clearance. I quickly scooped them up and didn't look back. They've become my favourite party shoes, due to their incredibly comfortable, and practical heel height. They can't be found online anymore, but I did manage to spot the J. Crew Metallic Heels, which are a very similar style.

The next sale item I found was this adorable J. Crew French Print Blouse. It's also currently on sale, so act fast if it makes you just as happy as it made me. I will be spending the month of August in Saint-Étienne, France so this shirt has seriously gotten me in the mood.

  1. Hello Madeline! I don't normally post, but I must share....I saw your video earlier this week and instantly fell in love with the silver heels from Banana and postponed checking out my local Banana because I thought, "oh man I bet those are all sold out." So when I finally went to the store today I forgot about your heels, but it wasn't until my husband asked me if the silver heels on the bottom shelf were the ones I wanted I squealed! They had 2 sizes left a 6 and a 7 I am so lucky I am a 6 and even luckier they were $28.99, but with an additional 30% off so they came out to be $20!!!!! I squealed again at my good fortune! Anyway, love your blog and have been following for a couple of months and love how often you post :) You have a loyal reader here in MN, USA
