Review: Lipstick And Eye Shadow From Revlon Selects

Here is a quick review of two Revlon products I've enjoyed in the past little while. The shades are very cold-weather appropriate and can create both dramatic, and more neutral looks.

This deep burgundy lipstick claims to stay all day with a suede finish- not matte, not shiny.

The long wearing quality of this product tends to dry my lips considerably by the end of the day, and leaves a rather uncomfortable tacky feeling when worn alone. However, with a balm underneath, the wear is a lot more comfortable but does not last as long. I wouldn't recommend these over the other cult favourite revlon lip products, but if you fall in love with a shade, they are definitely workable with a bit of practice

There are some great neutral shadows in this palette, with good quality pigmentation and unique textures. I did experience some flaking when swatching and applying these shadows. The more glittery shades (first two from the top down) should be applied with caution- tap your brush off before applying on the lids to keep the rest of your face sparkle-free. For a more intense eye look, moisten your brush before applying the shadows to create more intense, cream colours. Beware of fallout when using the glitter and don't forget to apply an eye shadow primer to keep your eye makeup looking fresh all day.

I hope this review helped if you were considering one, or both of these products.
